Impact investing roundtable on gender lens investing
The IIST Berlin Team together with the European Venture Philanthropy Association (EVPA) and the Vodafone Institute host a new edition of the Impact Investing Roundtable Berlin.
Are you wondering why women entrepreneurs find it so much more difficult to secure investment than their male peers? And whether it makes business sense to invest in women-led companies? Are they really of higher risk or generate lower returns as some argue? Is it true that there is a difference in the way women and man make personal choices, business and finance decisions? Would you agree that women need to embrace and defend their “impact mindset” rather than play along to the existing (male) rules of the game in business and finance?
Around the world, interest in topics around finance, business and gender have picked up rapidly. In Germany, however, these topics are hardly discussed, let alone are new insights turned into gender lens investment and support strategies.
The IIST Berlin Team together with the European Venture Philanthropy Association (EVPA) and the Vodafone Institute warmly invite you to this new edition of the Impact Investing Roundtable Berlin to discuss these questions with international pioneers in this field such as:
- Ramona Liberoff, Senior Advisor and former CEO of SPRING Accelerator as well start up investor in high tech impact businesses;
- Julia Profeta Johannsson, impact investment professional and founder of Ella Impact;
- Alice Deißner, Director of Strategy and Programme of Vodafone Institute and co-founder of F-Lane, the first tech impact accelerator fostering female empowerment.
Please join us at the Vodafone Institute Berlin, Behrensstrasse 18, 10117 Berlin on 4 September at 6pm for an 6.30pm start. Please register here as soon as possible as space is limited.
