Impact investing roundtable on gender lens investing

The IIST Berlin Team together with the European Venture Philanthropy Association (EVPA) and the Vodafone Institute host a new edition of the Impact Investing Roundtable Berlin.

Are you wondering why women entrepreneurs find it so much more difficult to secure investment than their male peers? And whether it makes business sense to invest in women-led companies? Are they really of higher risk or generate lower returns as some argue? Is it true that there is a difference in the way women and man make personal choices, business and finance decisions? Would you agree that women need to embrace and defend their “impact mindset” rather than play along to the existing (male) rules of the game in business and finance?

Around the world, interest in topics around finance, business and gender have picked up rapidly. In Germany, however, these topics are hardly discussed, let alone are new insights turned into gender lens investment and support strategies.
